Boost Profile

Jerrianne John, 67, is a lifelong athlete and former professional basketball player who has carried her love of movement into distance running. Throughout her life, she has embraced fitness and athletic challenges, maintaining an active lifestyle that keeps her competing and pushing her limits even today.

The Challenge

Seven years ago, Jerrianne suffered a devastating fall on a marble staircase that shattered the tibia behind her kneecap. A misdiagnosis led to improper healing, forcing her to give up running altogether.

“I had just completed my first half-marathon and regularly competed in 15K races. As someone who trained all my life, it was devastating to give up running and switch to only cross-training.”

The Discovery

While visiting a local triathlon store, Jerrianne encountered a microgravity treadmill for the first time.

“I ran on it for 30 minutes — pain-free — and knew immediately that I had to have one.”

Through her work as a fitness equipment dealer, she learned about Boost and the Boost 3 treadmill, designed to reduce impact and allow controlled body-weight support.

The Boost Solution

The Boost team guided Jerrianne through the process, from selection to installation, ensuring the unit fit her home gym and her goals.

“The Boost team followed up with care and worked with me to make it possible to purchase and install the unit.”

The Results

With the Boost 3, Jerrianne reclaimed her running routine after seven years of being sidelined:

  • First run: 1.5 miles
  • Next session: 3.5 miles
  • Progressed to: 5 miles
  • Most recent: 6.7 miles

She now runs at 6 mph and 80% body weight, entirely pain-free.

“After seven years of not being able to jog at all, this feels like a miracle. It’s truly an answer to prayer."
