Boost Users at the 2021 NCAA XC Championships

It was a beautiful weekend in the sunshine state, where runners toed the line at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee to compete for the Cross Country National title in near perfect conditions. The races were nothing short of exciting as the hard work from a long and grueling cross country season came to fruition. Over 30 Boost Treadmills facilities competed with outstanding performances, several even landing podium finishes.

NCAA DI Women’s 6k

The NCAA DI Championships kicked off with the women’s 6k.  With 4 runners in the top 25, the NC State Wolfpack took the top spot by a margin of 38 points over defending champion BYU. New Mexico followed close behind to take 3rd place, trailed by Colorado in 4th and Notre Dame in 5th. Whittni Orton of BYU was crowned the individual title in a solid time of 19:25.4, followed by Mercy Chelangat of Alabama in 19:29.3, Ceili McCabe of West Virginia in 19:29.5, Cailie Logue of Iowa State in 19:29.8, and Taylor Roe of Oklahoma State in 19:33.5.

NCAA DI Men’s 10k

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks came out on top of the men’s 10k race for their 5th team title in the last six years. With three runners in the top 15 and five in the top 40, they took the crown by a whopping 45 points over 2nd place Iowa State. Next up were Oklahoma State in 3rd, Arkansas in 4th, and Stanford in 5th. Defending champion Conner Mantz of BYU took home the individual title in a blistering 28:33.1, followed by Wesley Kiptoo of Iowa State in 28:39.7, Athanas Kioko of Campbell in 28:40.9, Charles Hicks of Stanford in 28:47.2, and Morgan Beadlescomb of Michigan State in 28:50.6.

NCAA DII

Saginaw Valley State’s CarLee Stimpfel finished 3rd individually in the NCAA D2 Championships Men’s 10k in Saint Leo, FL in a time of 30:09.0.

NCAA DIII

John Carroll took 4th as a team in the NCAA D3 Men’s 8k in Louisville, KY, with their very own Alex Phillip winning the individual title in 23:27.6.

NAIA

Milligan University dominated the NAIA Championships in Vancouver, WA, sweeping both men’s and women’s team titles. In the Men’s 8k, Milligan was the only team with three top-20 finishers, leading them to their first NAIA National XC title by a landslide of 60 points. In the women’s 5k, Milligan was yet again the only team with three top-20 finishers, leading them to slide past defending champion St. Francis by 19 points.
